Interior view of Pumping Facilities
The project consisted of the construction of the first two 5.0 MGD increments of a 15.0 MGD ultimate capacity water reclamation facility and reclaimed water distribution system. The fully automated treatment facilities treat secondary effluent from City of Palm Springs' Wastewater Treatment Plant in compliance with California Code of Regulations Title 22 standards, and then distributes the reclaimed water to area golf courses and parks for irrigation uses. The facilities are making a significant contribution to the management of the upper Coachella Valley's water resources.
