The Power Generation Station
The project consisted of the construction or reconstruction of numerous facilities related to the diversion of water from the Agency's Snow Creek surface water source. Facilities included a replacement diversion structure, an 11.0 M.G.D. headworks (including screening, clarification, and disinfection facilities), a 1.0 M.G. welded steel reservoir, 11,000± L.F. of 20" penstock, a 350 kW hydroelectric generating station, and 38,600± L.F. of 224" diameter transmission pipeline running from the generating station to the Agency's service area in the City of Palm Springs.
