The project consisted of the construction or reconstruction of numerous facilities related to the
diversion of water from the Agency's Snow Creek surface water source. Facilities included a replacement
diversion structure, an 11.0 M.G.D. headworks (including screening, clarification, and disinfection facilities),
a 1.0 M.G. welded steel reservoir, 11,000± L.F. of 20" penstock, a 350 kW hydroelectric generating
station, and 38,600± L.F. of 224" diameter transmission pipeline running from the generating station to
the Agency's service area in the City of Palm Springs.
