The project consisted of the construction of earthen basins (1 debris, 12 recharge) and a waterline. The grading for the basins covered 115 acres and required 615,000 cubic yards of excavation (cut) and 424,000 cubic yards of embankment (fill). The recharge basins have an impound capacity for 303 acre feet of water. As shown in the photographs, the debris basin and lower two recharge basins are dry. The waterline, which is connected to MWD's Colorado River Aqueduct, included 550 feet of 42" diameter and 1600 feet of 36" diameter welded steel pipe. The waterline was constructed at depths from 10 to 20 feet and has a design capacity of 100 cfs.
